Privacy policy

What this covers
This policy explains how Somlok Solutions ("we," "us") handles information when you use PlatePuls or our consulting services, or visit somloksolutions.com.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and login credentials when you create a PlatePuls account.
- Nutrition and health-adjacent data: meals you log, photos you submit for logging, and any goals or preferences you set inside the app.
- Usage data: basic app diagnostics and crash reports used to keep the service reliable.
- Consulting engagement data: business and technical information you share with us in the course of a consulting engagement, handled under the terms of that engagement.
How we use it
- To operate PlatePuls's core features — logging, nutrient calculations, and your personal history.
- To maintain and secure the infrastructure the app runs on.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
- We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your nutrition data to serve you third-party advertising.
Sharing with a care provider
PlatePuls includes an optional doctor portal. Your logged data and reports are visible to a care provider only if you explicitly link your account to them inside the app. You can unlink a provider at any time, which stops future sharing; it does not retroactively delete records already shared.
Where data is stored
PlatePuls data is stored using AWS infrastructure (including managed database and storage services) that Somlok Solutions provisions and operates. Access is restricted to what's needed to run the service.
Your choices
- You can access, correct, or export your logged data from within the app.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.
- You can stop using PlatePuls at any time; uninstalling the app does not automatically delete server-side data, so a deletion request is the reliable way to remove it.
Children's privacy
PlatePuls is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
